The Division of Water Pollution Control (WPC) is responsible for managing the sanitary sewage and stormwater drainage collection systems in Cleveland. The system is comprised of 1,200 miles of sewer lines with attendant catch basins and includes the maintenance of 18 pump stations. The sewer collection system transfers sanitary sewage and stormwater drainage from its point of origin to treatment facilities for processing and disposal.

In the event of street flooding, sewer blockage or water accumulation in your basement, notify WPC's Customer Service Unit at (216) 664-2513.

WPC Mission Statement:
To provide for the free-flow of surface water by cleaning and maintaining a network of sewers and sewer connections.
