Event Description

– On Saturday, June 7, Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD), will be cleaning up Big Creek and Rocky River for the 26 th year! Volunteers are needed to help pick up stream-side trash and should meet at one of the following locations at 8:45am. Cleanups are from 9:00am – Noon. Both cleanups will commence with a BBQ (Rocky River) and Pizza (Big Creek) as a thank you to all the volunteers.

Bags and work gloves will be provided. Children under 18 must have adult supervision. Additionally, Cuyahoga SWCD and the Village of Oakwood are hosting a Community Cleanup on Saturday, May 31st from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Watershed cleanups offer a hands-on way to support the health of our shared waterways. Volunteers not only help improve the environment but also gain insight into how streams function and change over time, the threats they face, and the actions we can take to protect and restore them.
